Show Notes

Marty is an accidental entrepreneur, hell bent on making the fastest bicycle wheels imaginable, of all things. This is a story about how an idea, a great product, and a global pandemic resulted in a flourishing global business on track to become an industry leader.

About Martin Crotty
Marty is the Head Coach of Men's Lightweight Rowing at Princeton University, a member of the 1996 and 1998 national champion Princeton heavyweight varsity eights, former member of the US National Rowing Team, and iron distance age-group triathlete. And...

Marty is the Founder and Chief Cheerleader at Princeton Carbon Works. He?realized that great bike wheels were just too damn expensive.? Instead of lusting over wheels that he couldn?t afford, he had the crazy idea to use his contacts in the carbon composite manufacturing industry to make his own aerodynamic bicycle wheels.? He recruited the most intelligent, toughest, no nonsense mechanical and aerospace engineer who had ever rowed for him to design a wheel that they could bring to life. The Princeton Carbon Works team has a relentless drive to create bike wheels with an uncompromising level of performance and speed. Heck, this is a podcast, nothing we can write here in the show notes will do justice to Marty's story.

Listen in to hear how it all happened.
